Olivia and Jake had quite the wedding day! Things started out beautiful with all the bridal party getting ready in downtown Boulder, I loved that all the bridesmaids had matching floral robes and with everyone all in one spot including the brides mother they were all able to have such special time with the couple!
This is when things got fun! We headed to a natural area west of Boulder for the couples first look. I love this time that couples get together and they chose to say their private vows to one another which I hope was a tie they wont ever forget! We squeezed in some portraits right as it started to sprinkle, that soon turned into a compete downpour! We improvised by using the outer shell of a camera case for an umbrella to keep them from getting completely soaked! My second shooter and I took one for the team!
The party bus was luckily waiting at the bottom of the hill with the entire bridal party so there was not a moment wasted and Olivia and Jake had such great attitudes while we waited out the rain.
The rain decided to stay so we had to go on don the road to Wedgewood Boulder Creek . This venue is just 15 min outside of Boulder and is a beautiful location for a Colorado wedding! The rest of the day went off so perfectly with an intimate indoor ceremony followed by a reception in their tented outdoor space. After dinner the couple slipped away for some extra alone time as well as some portraits before joining their family ad friends for dancing and dessert!
