Zack and Brooke’s Estes Park Wedding

I almost always meet my bride and groom before the wedding day but didn’t have the opportunity with Zack and Brooke. I could tell by all of our phone conversations that we would get along very well (and was not disappointed).
When I arrived on their wedding day I found a bride who was cool as a cucumber, hanging out with her family and friends! Almost all of the wedding party and family were staying at the same condo complex, and there was so much excitement in the air!

Brooke was driven to her ceremony by her Dad in his vintage, red Jeep that he had been sprucing up especially for this day. Estes Park was the perfect location for their mountain wedding. The Ceremony was held in a valley tucked behind a beautiful rock face, with a grove of Aspen trees behind them. With a location so beautiful you don’t need much. A simple handmade macramé hanging was all the decorating this slice of heaven needed.  A local band played music as all the guests were seated, and while the wedding party walked down the isle. The view as the jeep rolled up was unbelievable! Everywhere I looked was so gorgeous. Brook and her Dad made their way down the isle where Zack was waiting, and everyone had the biggest smiles on their faces.

A covered pavilion next to the Big Thompson river served as their reception hall. It was decorated with such a Colorado feel. Pine branches, pine cones, wildflowers and aspen logs serving as candle holders.  Being surrounded by the Forrest gave the reception such an intimate feel, as toasts were said and everyone danced the night away.

I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. I love calling the Rocky Mountains home and using our beautiful state as the backdrop for so many wedding and portrait photographs. Over the years I've been lucky enough to have the privilege of photographing the greatest individuals and families. Making so many memories along the way. I truly enjoy capturing the beauty and chaos in everyday life, and strive to make photographs in the most authentic and candid way, with the people who mean the most to you.
