Having the opportunity to second shoot with another talented photographer is one of my favorite things to do. Especially when its my friend Anna! We get along so well tend to share a similar vision when it comes to photography. Also being able to not be the one in charge gives you a fresh vision and a great chance to try things new things that normally I might not take the time to do. Wedding timelines can be pretty strict sometimes!
Anna and I met Shane and Krista up the Poudre Canyon for their first look and bridal party photos. We found a clearing in the forest with rays of sunlight poring in. They had a private moment to be together and share a prayer before the bridal party met up with us. It honestly felt like a fairy tale.
I love that photos were a priority to Shane and Krista and they gave us two full hours! We made such great use of out time and location right on the Poudre River.
The Ceremony took place at the Fort Collins Senior Center out on the back Patio. Jordan’s Flowers out of Fort Collins did outstanding work with the flowers! A wooden arch was dripping in flowers under a large cottonwood tree where they said their vows. The reception hall has natural space that runs along the whole back side of the building. During sunset we snuck away for more portraits in the tall grass.
One of my favorite moments of the day was their sendoff. All of their friends and family made a line all holding lit candles. It was the perfect end to their gorgeous day! Shane and Krista missionaries and teachers in Laos where they will be making their home after some time back in the states.
