I could go on and on about Sean and Dakota’s wedding, but I’ll give you the highlights…
Stove Prairie Ranch is ridiculous… horses everywhere, beautiful views, barns! Yes please.
It was the first time I was able to work with Meghan with Petrichor planning. Let me say I have never had a better experience with a planner. Meghan was so organized, and on top of every detail. And she did it all with a smile on her face!
She and I drove down to the the ceremony site where Lace and Lillie’s were already decorating the hand made backdrop that Sean (yes the groom), built just for his wedding day! It was a geometric wooden structure of his own design, that by ceremony time had the most stunning flowers and greenery placed in just the right spots to showcase not only the event, but the whole natural space!
On the way back to the bridal cottage we spotted the resident bobcat lounging in the grass. And at first, I thought it was a house cat and I was not ready, so I didn’t even snap a photo. Darn!
Back at the bridal cottage there was such a fun and relaxed energy as the bride and all the bridesmaids, were getting ready. All this while family started showing up.
After the first look we were greeted by the resident horses for some portraits, and then joined the bridal party at a smaller barn on the property.
The ceremony was a family affair. The nieces of the bride were bridesmaid and flower girl. And the groom’s twin sister was a bridesmaid as well. Finally, Dakota’s brother officiated the ceremony, and every word was so heartfelt!
Back at the reception, held in a large tent on the main grounds, guests enjoyed a feast made by Rollin’ Stone pizza truck, who came out along with a Fort Collins favorite, Walrus Ice Cream, who served up desert.
Dakota spent weeks thoughtfully creating so many details for their wedding day. From the previously mentioned geometric backdrop, and the handmade crystal and geode centerpieces, to Dakota’s constellation nail polish, and Braille charm hanging from her bouquet. I loved every second, and it was truly was a dream to photograph.
What a wedding. Congratulations Sean and Dakota!!!
