Sean and Dakota Fort Collins Engagement Photos

Sean and Dakota are just one of those couples you want to spend time with, they’re always smiling and so comfortable together. Being Colorado natives they were up for anything so we met me up near Horsetooth Reservoir, in Fort Collins, on a chilly and very windy afternoon.

We had a blast hiking up and down the trails trying to get a break from the wind. We talked a lot about their brood of pets ( 3 dogs 2 cats ) and Sean giving me flooring advice (He is an experienced carpenter in Fort Collins).

We ended the session at a beautiful valley on the east side of Horsetooth Reservoir, overlooking Fort Collins, with Dakota wearing a beautiful, long, flowing dress. The crazy weather made for some moody and romantic photos!  It was quite the experience and I cannot wait for their wedding at Stove Prairie Ranch this summer.

Congratulations you two!

I was born and raised in Northern Colorado. I love calling the Rocky Mountains home and using our beautiful state as the backdrop for so many wedding and portrait photographs. Over the years I've been lucky enough to have the privilege of photographing the greatest individuals and families. Making so many memories along the way. I truly enjoy capturing the beauty and chaos in everyday life, and strive to make photographs in the most authentic and candid way, with the people who mean the most to you.
