Oh man Luke and Kristin were put through the ringer planning this wedding. If I am correct they had to not only switch venues twice they then switched to an entirely different town! But as things generally do it all worked out for the best!
Grand Lake CO was the new location for their wedding. The brides parents rented a large cabin that sat on a hill side overlooking the lake. This is where the bridal party, all 12 ladies got ready and was just a few min drive from Picture Point where the ceremony took place. I love small mountain towns so much!
Their first look took place on a long dock overlooking the Rocky Mountains and Grand Lake. This natural area along the lake was filled with blooming flowers, boulders and pine trees making it a perfect Colorado backdrop. Luke and Kristin said their vows under a wooden structure made by the bride creating a fun window looking towards the mountains.
The reception was just a short walk at an outdoor venue called Daven Haven in a court yard surrounded by cute little cabins and log porches. I am so happy that we took the time to go back to the lake for some sunset photos where the lake was glowing almost purple in the summer sunset.
