When I got a call from Adam I knew I was going to love this couple! He got a hold of me before he came to town to propose knowing that their time together in Colorado was limited. I am so impressed with their planning. Adam is in the armed forces and is stationed out of state while Alyssa is here finishing up school. They seem to have such a mature and stable relationship having to be so purposeful and intentional with their time together.
We met up early morning in downtown Longmont to shoot their engagement photos. I was so excited to use the backdrop of my favorite local venue The ST. Vrain. because it was an early morning it felt like we had the town to ourselves. While we wandered around getting to know each other pausing in unexpected locations with great downtown urban texture and details. Lucky downtown Longmont is in such close driving distance to some beautiful natural areas which we gladly took advantage of. We headed over to a path on the St. Vrain river right as the sun was coming through the trees. Honestly these two can make any place look romantic and I am so thrilled to be photographing their winter wedding at The Wellshire Inn.
